Hundred Meter House

Hundred Meter House, Aireys Inlet (11/2015-08/2016)

We were asked to design Alterations and additions to an existing dwelling on a gently sloping grassed site with existing canopy trees.  The Additions seek to relate to the form of the existing dwelling.  The new timber clad structure comprises a new Kitchen, Dining and extensive Decking area with a skillion roof to form an extension of the existing gable roof.  We also re-worked the East end of the existing building to incorporate a new Living space, master Bedroom, Ensuite and Walk in Robe.

SKETCH

The external materials include painted cement render over the existing brickwork, hardwood cladding and timber window frames.  All external timbers are to be constructed from naturally fire-resistant solid timber.  The dwellings material palette has been selected to tie in with the existing dwelling and landscape.
