Facet House
Facet House, Torquey, VIC (05/2008 - Designed)
For this design, we proposed a new 2 storey dwelling, water tanks and wastewater treatment system on a gently sloping grassed site. The ground floor of the proposal included a double Garage and Store, Living, Dining, Kitchen, Laundry, Powder and Lounge. The upper level encompasses 4 Bedrooms, Ensuite, Walk in Robe, Bathroom, Powder Room, 2 Studies and Sitting zone. Generous decking had also been provided.
The external materials include concrete blockwork at the lower level, timber cladding with penetrative stain, compressed sheet faceted feature wall panels at upper level and colorbond tray deck roof. The form of the building was well articulated with material selection and placement enhancing the various elements within the designs composition. The colours chosen were to be earthy, yet sleek and will be enhancing the connection between the dwelling and the indigenous Landscaping.
